so....

Hey!
I know I've been MIA, but here's the scoop, our family has been sick, on and off for about 3 weeks. At first,  while catching puke in buckets and clorox wiping every surface in our home,  I was trying to squeeze in my 100 straight days of workouts.
well, it wasn't working so well, especially when I got sick.  Twice.
So, as the frustration mounted because I didn't want to miss.a.day. I had to realize life with 5 kids is life that sometimes you don't have enough time in the day to get anything in other than snuggling sick babies and doing loads of laundry.
But,  we are in the clear! I'm feeling awesome and back to everyday!
I did however,  so far, loose 12 1/2 inches over my body! That's exciting for me!

Week 5 - ready or not, here I come!

Tonights work out did not go as planned.
Yes, on this beautiful spring day I left for the gym and had to turn around and come home because it was a complete whiteout....of snow. Not daisy flowers. Crappy, white snow.
But don't worry, I'll just workout at home!
Happy to report another 2 1/2 inches lost!
I'm frustrated that I'm not actually losing weight, but my awesome hubby is trying so hard to convince me I'm muscular!
I won't stop though! Weight loss or not!
So, how are you doing?!  And give me some hints on what to do to loose the actual weight while still building muscle! If that's even possible?!

3 weeks down!

So excited to be this far!
Remember, eat healthy! Snack on almonds between meals if you're hungry!
Don't EVER skip breakfast ( or meals!) That is NOT dieting or being healthy, that is being anorexic. Eat healthy, small meals if you don't like sitting down for regular meals.
Skipping breakfast is beyond crazy!
You always over eat at other meals and thats because you're starving by lunch!
When you are starving, you eat quickly and make poor choices.

oatmeal is a great filler for breakfast!
Eggs are awesome!
Make healthy breakfast choices to get your day started right!

So far I've lost 8 inches!

How you doin'?

2 weeks in!
Totalled 742 minutes of workouts!
That's about 50 minutes a day!
So....how you doin'?
Start!
And If you already started - DON'T quit!
If I, the homeschooling mother of 5 kids, can make time, you have no excuse!

She tried it & She loved it!

This is were I try something new and tell you if it was nAsTy or delish!

Coconut Oil Salad dressing-
Say whaaaaa???
I think I have a brilliant idea,  but I'm sure if you search it on Pinterest, it all ready exist,  because everytime I think I thought of something new, the brilliance that is Pinterest has a 28 page blog on it, complete with video tutorial!!! My.Life.Story!!!!
Anywhooskie- I've been chowing down salads for lunch,  like a horse.  But,  I don't overly love salad dressing....orrrrr....dry salad.
SD has a bazill calories, unless you buy FAT FREE, then you get aspartame added, so I feel SD is a lose lose.
until one day... my obsession with all things coconut,  led me to the idea to melt a tablespoon of coconut oil over my salad.
Results: CO never disapoints :)

It added just enough moisture to totally satisfy my tastebuds!
Now,  CO is high in calories.  Good ones though.  I would still say,  1 tbs. Mix it over your salad, to disperse the coconutty goodness! It was heaven of the trap!

The other thing I tried was from Pinterest ( sHocKeR!!!)
I don't know if it had a name,  but you chop an apple into little squares,
melt about a spoon full of peanut butter, dump it over apples, then add about 10 - 15 chocolate chips.

This is so fiber-y...I had to poop, just from making it ;-)

It was great!
My kids saw it and had to have thier own!

I've gotten some ideas from you guys too, that I need to try! When I do,  I'll post!!!

Thanks for reading!
Chow!

Literally.

Just on good stuff though!

100 Days in the Gym

Vacations are over and its time to get back to the grind!
A few months ago, I posted a video to my fb page of a severly overweight girl, who challenged herself to spend 100 Days in the gym.  It was so inspirational!
For some reason,  I can't find the video :( I wanted to post it here for ya'll to be inspired! Because,  if she could do it, there is NO excuse for you.
I tried googeling it and looking on youtube, and found nothing,  so if any one has it, please post in the comments!

Now,  I know I won't make it into the gym 100 Days in a row, mainly because we have about 2 severe snowstorms a week, that are deadly to drive in.  So,  I'm  issuing a challenge and here it is:

100 Days of Working Out-
Spend at least 20 minutes to an hour doing some kind of activity.

For those of you who need to start slow, a 20 minute walk is fine!
I am taking 2 classes,  which is only filing up 4 of those days,  so on the other days I'm going to walk/ do a dvd or go in to the gym and workout or swim.

Don't do something you're all ready doing.
If you all ready walk - either up your time 30 minutes or ADD something.

Housework doesn't count ;) well, it does, but not as your exercise!!!! You do this.  All day.

Grab a friend to keep you accountable!

Grab a calendar or a note book and KEEP track of what you've done!

Make the time!

Set a goal.  I hate setting goals. It intimidates me and I hate failing,  but excuses are for people who really don't want it, that's why I'm doing 100 Days! I'll tell ya if I miss a day,  but that is NOT my plan!

Take pictures every week.

You can do this!!! Who's in with me????!!!!!

This is a great way to start! And remember,  just because you have a gym membership,  doesn't make you thin.

Let's do this 100 Days like rockstars ;)
